According to Daily Post, doctors in the state condemned, according to them, the lackadaisical approach of the state government towards their plights. The president of the association, Dr Jumoke Olatokunbo said doctors in the employment of the state government are being owed 22 months arrears, adding that the situation is already becoming unbearable for his colleagues. He called for quick intervention of well meaning Nigerians for the purpose of persuading the government to meet their demand and avoid embarrassing industrial action. The protest commenced from the premises of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Teaching Hospital (LAUTECH) Osogbo, towards the popular Olaiya Junction. Thursday’s protest makes it the third one in the series of protests in the last two months in the state.
