The duo combined to secure Diego Simeone’s side their first win of the season with the Frenchman grabbing a brace as they answered their critics in style

Antoine Griezmann struck twice in the second half to give Atletico Madrid a crucial 3-0 victory at Celta Vigo on Saturday, handing the La Liga title contenders their first win this term.
Los Rojiblancos, winless in their two outings before, grabbed the lead following Koke’s clinical finish after a fine cross from Griezmann in the 53rd minute.

Substitute Kevin Gameiro then missed a sitter to double his side’s lead, before Griezmann opened his account for the season with a brace of fine headers.

Angel Correa, on as a second-half replacement, rounded off the scoring a minute from time to leave Celta without a point to their name in 2016-17.
