Manchester City have been crowned as the winners of the 2017-18 Premier League after rivals, Man United slumped to defeat at the hands of Westbrom.

Manager Pep Guardiola has now added the English Premier League title to his previous domestic successes in both Spain and Germany.

The Blues victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday meant that the club wouldn’t be able to be caught if Manchester United lost to West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford.

Jay Rodriguez’s second half header gave the Baggies a shock win against Jose Mourinho’s charges.

In truth, the season has been a procession for Guardiola’s team, and the famed competitiveness of the division has waned, although the Spaniard’s coaching has been admirable.

The former Bayern Munich coach was not interested in the Manchester United result, as he was spending the entirety of Sunday on the golf course.

“The only score that will concern my on Sunday will be bogey or birdie,” he explained.

“I will be playing golf with my son.

“I won’t be watching United-West Brom, but I think Mourinho will win.”

City now sit 16 points clear in top spot with five games to play and could yet to break various Premier League records by the end of the season, with the 100-point mark within their sights.

It is City’s fifth English top-flight title, their last Premier League triumph having come in the 2013-14 season.
