Popular Gay rights activist Bisi Alimi has put his weight behind controversial male crossdresser Bobrisky.

The UK-based Nigerian took to his Instagram page on Wednesday to call for the release of Bobrisky with #FreeBobrisky Movement.

Alimi said till the reason for his arrest is stated, everyone should call for his release. He added that no one would know how wrong his arrest is until it happens to someone close.

He wrote: The continuous detention of #bobrisky is illegal and unless the police state the basis for the arrest, Bobrisky should be released #freebobrisky.
