Drake has decided to respond to Childish Gambino after a gap of 5 years.

Drizzy decided to run a visual at the It’s All A Blur tour opener in Chicago on Wednesday night near his stage which read “The overrated and over awarded hit song ‘This is America’ was originally a Drake diss record.” This is certainly confusing to some fans but there is history behind it.

Childish Gambino had revealed in an interview with GQ back in May that his biggest hit to date, ‘This Is America’ was originally started as a diss track aimed at Drake.

“The idea for the song started as a joke,” he continued. “And it started as a Drake diss, to be honest. As like, a funny way of doing it. But then I was like, ‘This shit sounds kinda hard, though.’ You know? So I was like, ‘Let me play with it.'”
