In an unprecedented move, MMMG co-owner and artiste Iyanya has jumped ship to join the Don Jazzy-led Mavin Records.

There have been reports of a rift within the ranks of the Made Men Music Group. Emma Nyra had left amid increasing controversy and Iyanya had been rumoured to be setting up a label solely owned by him after falling out with Ubi Franklin.

But this development is a first; no established Nigerian pop act had left his label to join a competitor.
