Veteran New York radio personality Angie Martinez was involved in a severe accident over the weekend.

Angie took to her social media to reveal the news to her fans. As a result of the incident, she suffered from a fractured lumbar and a shattered vertebrae.

"I always believed in angels, and the other morning, mine was with me. I was in a severe car accident and had my lumbar fractured and my vertebra shattered," she wrote.

However, the legendary “Voice of New York” went on to say that she was in good spirits and is grateful that she has the opportunity to recover from the injuries. “I am in best spirits possible and determined to be back and better than ever soon! God bless and I deeply appreciate all love and prayers.”

We wish her a very speedy recovery.
