A tragic accident claimed the lives of three members of a family to death along Akure-Idanre road in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The deceased, all males, were said to be riding on a motorcycle when the truck rammed into them.

They all died on the spot.

Miffed by the incident, irate okada riders and residents in the area set the truck ablaze.

Spokesman for the Ondo Federal Road Safety Corps, Abiola Fadumo, who confirmed the accident to The Nation on Thursday,May 20, said the presence of policemen helped to calm the situation.
