The Benue State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, says it has enlisted in regards to 80,000 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, crosswise over four camps situated in Guma and Logo nearby government regions of the state.
Guma and Logo were the nearby governments influenced by the current murder of around 50 individuals by presumed herders.
The killings have been censured by Nigerians including President Muhammadu Buhari who requested the Inspector General of Police to move to the state to control the savagery there. Mr. Idris arrived Benue on Wednesday.
The Executive Secretary of SEMA, Emmanuel Shior, made the revelation in a meeting with the News Agency of Nigeria in Makurdi on Wednesday.
Mr. Shior said that the office touched base at the figure amid its manual enrollment of the IDPs in the two neighborhood government regions.
He said the IDPs were at the administration endorsed camps at Daudu, Tse-Ginde, Gbajimba all in Guma and Ugba in Logo nearby chambers.
