Posted by: Morayo« on: August 21, 2022, 01:52:30 PM »![]() Police Operatives attached to the Dragon 26 & 29, on routine stop and search duty, along Warri/Sapele road in Delta State, have arrested a 20-year- old suspected armed robber, Aaron Uko. They also recovered one locally-made cut-to-size gun loaded with two live cartridges from him. The suspect was arrested after the Police intercepted a Volkswagen Jetta commercial vehicle, with reg. no. PTN 242 TA, conveying some passengers from Sapele to Warri. DAILY POST learnt that the suspect concealed the gun in his body close to his private part. The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer. According to DSP Edafe, “Preliminary investigation revealed that he bought the gun in the year 2018 from a man nicknamed “OSE” for twenty-seven thousand naira (N27,000) and buried it in his house before leaving for Ghana. “He was arrested and taken into custody, the exhibit recovered and investigation is ongoing.”
