The sanitation exercising became prepared by means of the Centre for Democracy and development (CDD) in collaboration with the Borno nation government. The repentant insurgents wore T-shirts that had the words ‘Please forgive us’, ‘we have repented’, and ‘permit’s rebuild Borno again’ inscribed on them. Talking on the exercise, Mala Mustafa, a senior research fellow with CDD, stated the exercising is a part of efforts to prepare them for his or her reintegration technique. He said four hundred of the repentant insurgents have been mobilized for the exercising, with 50 of them taking part this Saturday for a start in Maiduguri hajj camp. Abdullahi Ishaq, special adviser to the Borno governor on safety, also lauded the initiative by CDD as he stated ; “CDD provided the system for this exercising and has been providing us with technical advice as good partners. He disclosed that the initiative taken by the government after years of insurgency brought about the surrender of many insurgents, and also contributed to peace-building efforts inside the kingdom. “nowadays, Maiduguri is extra peaceful than Abuja. We want to retain to name on groups to help this peace technique by means of accepting them,” Ishaq stated.
