At least five people were reportedly trapped in the tragedy, which occurred at 8:AM on Sunday in the Sabo district of Osogbo. The unfortunate tragedy shocked locals as they rushed to the scene to help with the rescue operation. Sani Isyaku, an eyewitness, told the Vanguard that emergency response officials were joined by residents in the effort to rescue those trapped in the building, adding that some people were taken out and rushed to the hospital by ambulance, while others remained trapped in the debris.
