On Tuesday, residents of Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, took to the streets in protest against the agonizing lack of cash and the accompanying pain.

The protesters seized Aladesanmi, Fajol, and Somorin in the Obantoko area of Abeokuta, lit bonfires, and chanted anti-CBN songs. The First Bank branch in Sapon was also vandalized as the protesters tried to set it ablaze.

A young man who was allegedly shot during the protest can be heard screaming for help in an online video.
