Confirming the incident, Corps Commander, CSP Isaac Omoyele (rtd), said the security outfit was working hard to locate the children and apprehend their kidnapper. “We are aware of the situation, and we are working hard to locate the woman. By God’s grace, we will find her and the children,” he said Daily Post reports that an unidentified intending tenant had disappeared with two children in the Igando area of Ilesa, Osun State. It was gathered that the intending tenant allegedly abducted the children, whose ages ranged between four and two, after cleaning her one-room apartment in a ‘face-me-and-face-you’ building around the Cele area of Igando on Saturday. Sources revealed that the tenant had paid for half a year’s rent to one of the existing tenants in the house. Mothers of the two children claimed that the lady had played with the children before carrying out his clandestine plans. They claimed that the lady snuck out of the house and lied, claiming she was taking the girls to buy something when confronted by neighbours who saw her leaving with them. They described the woman as a “fair complexioned lady, between 17 and 20 years of age spotting a low haircut and fixed nails.” They also revealed that a tenant in the house collected the money and informed the landlord who approved the rent without issuing a receipt and without carrying out a background check on the new tenant. The case has also been reported to the Osun State Police Command.
