The spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, Osun Sector Command, Agnes Ogungbemi, who confirmed the incident, revealed that the accident occured as a result of both vehicles colliding. Ogungbemi also disclosed that one of the vehicles was conveying bottles of Liquified Petroleum Gas, LPG also known as gas. She said the fire was as a result of the gas bottles exploding as a result of both vehicles colliding headlong. The number of the dead could not be ascertained but the Osun FRSC spokesperson stated that the injured victims were conveyed to a hospital for medical attention. In her words, “No detail for now because we have not been able to ascertain the dead but the injured have been taken to Ise Oluwa Medical center Odeomu. “One of the vehicles carried gas ,it exploded and caused the fire out break.”
