It was gathered that some group of students from federal polytechnics Bida went for a function outside Bida and came back late into the town yesterday. There was an agreement with the driver who brought them back to Bida town to take them straight to the school but on getting into the town the driver took them to the Etsu Yahaya motor Park. When the students ask the drive that our agreement was to take us to the school, the driver respond was that it was too late and the students forced the driver to take them to the school, that amounted to query between the driver and the students. Some selected students went to Etsu Yahaya motor park to settle the issue and it resulted in arguments that broke out fight between the rest of the drivers and students. The students later went back to school premises to inform there colleagues who gathered themselves to go back to Etsu Yahaya motor Park to retaliate. The students took a long walk from the Polytechnic into Bida town and destroy all shops and business on their way until the youths in the town then inform each other and block the students on their way which resulted into the fight. It was gathered that some students had lost their lives in the fight while others were seriously injured. Among the students who were stabbed are Omoba a student Union presidential aspirant, other aspirants were also stabbed like the welfare. Team of the police men (SARS) came around to settle the issue, throwing tear gas before they should be able to calm down the situation. The dead bodies and the injured were then taken to the FMC.
