Report Trending Online That The Gambia’s president-elect Adama Barrow who vowed to take office on January 19 despite the refusal of outgoing President Yahya Jammeh to give up power has been killed by unknown assailants.

The Reports Trends online this evening that Gambian president-elect, Adama Barrow, was assassinated by suspected loyalists of his rival and incumbent President of Gambia, Yahya Jammeh.
Barrow's media aides tweeted this evening denouncing the rumor.
They also shared this photo of Barrow with the UK and US Ambassadors to Gambia earlier today after a meeting.
