Posted by: Morayo« on: March 29, 2019, 04:12:32 PM »The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office, on Thursday, March 28, 2019, arrested eight suspected internet fraudsters at Olopomewa, Eleyele and Ajadi, Ologuneru areas of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. According to a statement on its website, the operatives picked up the suspects following several months of discreet intelligence follow-ups and rigorous investigations into the suspects’ alleged clandestine fraudulent activities of obtaining money under false pretences from their victims within the Ibadan axis of the South West zone of the country. The suspects, who are between 19 and 36 years of age are: Olawale Jamal Ajao, Ominiyi Babatunde, Oluwasanmi Oluwaseun, Akinyemi Toheeb, Olawale Joel, Tayo Yusuf, Yusuf Babatunde and Okolaba Emmanuel. Phones, laptops and some documents were recovered from the suspects. The Head of Operations, DCDS, Friday Ebelo said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
