No less than 15 people kicked the bucket in a mischance including a Sharon transport and a truck along Gujungu-Gumel street in Kaugama Local Government Area of Jigawa state.

SP Abdu Jinjiri, the representative of the state Police Command, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday that the mishap happened on Saturday around 7:30 p.m.

Jinjiri said that the Sharon vehicle which should convey seven travelers, was over-burden with 14 individuals.

"A seven travelers limit vehicle over-burden with 14 travelers smashed into a truck originating from the other way on Gujungu-Gumel street.

"Accordingly, nine of the travelers kicked the bucket on the spot, while the rest were hurried to Gumel General Hospital, in Gumel neighborhood government region.

Nine guys including the driver of the Sharon transport, four females and two kids kicked the bucket in the mishap.

"It was conceivable the driver of the over-burden vehicle was on rapid and couldn't control it, in any case, just examination will uncover the genuine reason for the mischance," Jinjiri said.

He said that the driver of the truck matured 22, was under the police authority as examination was progressing.

The police representative forewarned drivers against over speeding under whatever conditions.

Informal sources said the over-burden transport was making a beeline for Daura nearby government territory in Katsina State.
