The casualty figure was contained in a report by the State Fire Service Command signed by its Public Relations Officer, Abubakar B. Bala. However, the report revealed that 172 lives were saved within the period. According to the report, the Fire Service across the state responded to 287 reported incidences within the period. The report also stated that an estimated properties worth about N619,360,000 were saved while properties estimated at about 223,947,000 were lost to the fire incidences within the period.
